Everything you need to know about the betting strategy ‘Paroli’

The Paroli betting system, as it pertains to Roulette, is very popular with online gamblers for three reasons. One, the Paroli betting system is extremely easy to learn and implement. Secondly, it provides you the opportunity to win small, yet consistent amounts of cash. Finally, when you work this betting system, you are going to be less likely to suffer and large losses during your gambling sessions.

At the core of the Paroli betting system, you avoid the risk of substantial losses by generating small wins on a consistent basis.

The name of this system is derived from the Latin term for “one that is equal”. So you could say that this betting system is the opposite of a Martingale system with fixed limits.

This positive progression betting system increases your stakes after each win. Although we are going to use the Paroli betting system for this example in at the Roulette wheel, it works on any even money games like Craps or Blackjack too.

This is a 4-rule overview of the Paroli betting system.

Rule #1 – The Stake is Fixed
In order to use the Paroli betting system effectively, there has to be a fixed stake in play. The fixed state is the dollar amount you are wagering at the beginning of every cycle. This amount can be chosen by the gambler, however, a good rule of thumb is to choose approximately 2% of what amount of money you are prepared to lose for the entire gambling session. (For example, if you have a $200 bankroll, then the base fixed stake should be $5).

Rule #2 – Winning then Doubling
Each time that you win a bet, you have to double your stake for the next bet. (For example, when your initial bet is $5, if you win, the next bet is going to be $10. If you win again, the bet doubles to $20.

Rule #3 – Stopping After 3 Wins
Even if you were to go on an incredible winning streak, with the Paroli betting system, you stop doubling up after the third consecutive win. Once you win three times, the bet is dropped down to your initial bet. The basic idea behind this betting system is that three wins in a row is fairly common, any more than that tends to be less likely to occur.

Rule #4 – Base Stake After a Loss
If you lose a bet, the next bet you place is going to be your initial bet. This counts for all losses throughout the session. Even if you lose ten times in a row, the next bet is only the initial bet.

As you can see, the Paroli betting system is extremely simple to grasp and even easier to implement. The aim here is to double up three times and take those profits off the table as often as you can. Studies show that you should be able to do this several times in any betting session, enough so these mini winning streaks cover all your losses combined.
